- The Institute for Interpretation and Translation Studies at Stockholm University, qualifying with a degree in German translation in 1994

- Interpreting courses at Axevalla Folk High School, Sweden
Work experience
- Member of the editorial team on Hästen and Hundliv magazines, working as a writer/sub-editor/proofreader/customer contact
- Waitress at commercial hotels and restaurants in Sweden and Germany
- Office worker for companies including Koop Finans and Federal Express/ASG in Stockholm
- Project assistant at the advertising agency, SCS GmbH, Munich, for 1½ years
- Checkout manager at the furniture chain store, KARE Design GmbH, Munich, for 1½ years
- Fourteen years working as a translator, proofreader and project leader at Euronomen AB, a translation agency in Skövde, Sweden
Language skills
Mother tongue: Swedish
Fluent in spoken and written English and German.
Life experience
The long and winding road to the translation profession gave me some very valuable experience on which to draw for the varied translation tasks I deal with, and during the three years I spent in Munich I learnt a lot about German society and the way the language is used.
Private life
I have a husband, two children, a dog, and an enormous wild garden. I spend the free time I manage to steal renovating the former nursery and market garden, absorbed in weeding, singing in a choir or reading.
